Seeking an experienced and passionate Fund Manager to join our investment team and manage long-only equity portfolios.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong track record in fundamental investing, demonstrate the ability to generate alpha through disciplined stock selection, and have deep expertise in the Indian equity markets
The role requires independent thinking, rigorous research, sound portfolio construction, and a long-term investment approach aligned with the firm's philosophy.
Key responsibilities
- Manage discretionary equity portfolios with the objective of delivering superior long-term risk-adjusted returns.
- Identify high-conviction investment opportunities through bottom-up fundamental research and financial analysis.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment theses.
- Construct and actively monitor portfolios while ensuring appropriate diversification and risk management.
- Track portfolio companies, industry developments, macroeconomic trends, and regulatory changes affecting investment decisions.
- Engage with company management teams, industry experts, channel partners, and other stakeholders to validate investment ideas.
- Continuously evaluate existing holdings and recommend portfolio actions based on evolving fundamentals and valuations.
- Present investment recommendations and portfolio reviews to the Investment Committee and senior management.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building a strong research-driven investment culture.
- Ensure adherence to internal investment processes, compliance requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in equity research or portfolio management, preferably with Portfolio Management Services (PMS), Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), Mutual Funds, or other institutional asset management
- Demonstrated track record of generating alpha through long-only investing in Indian equities.
- Strong expertise in financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies, and company research.
- Sound understanding of portfolio construction, capital allocation, and risk management principles.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to make independent investment decisions backed by rigorous research.
- Strong ethical standards, integrity, and long-term investment orientation.
Educational Qualifications
MBA (Finance), CA, CFA (completed or pursuing), or equivalent qualification preferred.
Strong academic background with demonstrated interest in capital markets and investing.
