Job Description

SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly analytical and technology-oriented professional to partner with the Finance team in driving automation, data analytics, and process transformation initiatives. The role will act as a bridge between Finance and Technology teams and will be responsible for automating manual finance processes, building dashboards and MIS solutions, developing SQL-based data extraction and reconciliation frameworks, and enhancing data availability and accuracy across finance operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong SQL and data analytics skills, a good understanding of financial processes, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Advanced SQL 

• Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent) 

• Data analysis languages like R, Python 

• Strong understanding of relational databases 

• Advanced Excel and AI tools like Claude etc. 

• Knowledge of accounting systems and ERP platforms 

• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses 

• Understanding of accounting and finance processes 

• Reconciliations and controls 

• Lending business operations and loan lifecycle

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Finance Process Automation: Identify manual and repetitive finance processes and automate them through technology solutions; Design and implement automated reconciliation frameworks for bank reconciliations, loan portfolio reconciliations, GL-to-subledger reconciliations, disbursal reconciliations, collection and settlement reconciliations; Reduce manual intervention and improve process efficiency through workflow automation.

• Data Analytics & Dashboarding: Develop and maintain finance dashboards and management reports; Build real-time and near real-time monitoring dashboards for key finance metrics; Create self-service reporting solutions for finance stakeholders; Support ad-hoc analytical requirements and management reporting.

• SQL Development & Data Management: Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and analysis; Develop automated scripts and data pipelines to support finance operations; Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across various source systems; Perform root cause analysis for data mismatches and reconciliation breaks.

• LMS & System Integration Support: Work closely with Loan Management System (LMS) and technology teams to automate finance-related processes; Develop automated data pulls and reports from LMS and other operational systems; Support integration of finance systems with LMS, payment gateways, banking platforms, and accounting systems; Improve availability and accessibility of finance data across systems.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field. 

• MBA / CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred but not mandatory. 

• 1–2 years of experience in data analytics, finance technology, business intelligence, or finance transformation roles. 

• Experience in NBFC, Fintech, Banking, Financial Services, or SaaS environments preferred.
