About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and strategic finance leader to head the India finance function for a global technology services organization. The role will be responsible for driving financial governance, statutory compliance, financial reporting, operational finance management and strategic business support for India operations and associated legal entities.

The Finance Director will work closely with global finance teams and senior stakeholders to ensure strong financial controls, regulatory compliance and efficient financial operations aligned with group standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Finance Leadership

  • Lead the overall finance function for India operations and associated entities.
  • Define and execute financial strategies aligned with global business objectives.
  • Drive financial governance, compliance, cost discipline and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with leadership teams to support business growth and strategic initiatives.

2. Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Oversee general ledger management, month-end and year-end closure processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and consolidation.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, banking operations and cash flow oversight.
  • Handle intercompany accounting, reconciliations and cost recharge mechanisms.

3. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with Indian statutory regulations including Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, TDS, Professional Tax and IND-AS.
  • Oversee payroll-related compliance including PF, ESI, gratuity and employment-related filings.
  • Lead statutory audits, tax assessments and regulatory engagements.
  • Manage ROC filings, Director KYC, DIR-8, MBP-1 and other statutory disclosures.
  • Maintain strong Internal Financial Controls (IFC) and governance standards.

4. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor and develop the India finance team.
  • Collaborate closely with Group Finance, Finance Business Partners and operational leaders globally.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and operational stakeholders across India operations.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative and ethical work culture.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified CA with 20+ years of experience in senior finance leadership roles.
  • Strong expertise in financial management, statutory compliance, taxation and audit leadership.
  • Experience in handling intercompany accounting and global group structures.
  • Strong understanding of Indian financial regulations and governance requirements.
  • Exposure to IT/ITES, Cloud, Cybersecurity or technology services industry preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
