Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Manager to join our finance team in New Delhi. This role will involve the accurate and timely preparation of key financial statements, reports, and income tax/GST returns. The person will report to CFO and should be able to guide the team in processing of financial transactions and maintaining up-to-date financial records. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, an understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively within the finance team and other stakeholders with the firm.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and other relevant reports. Ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Preparation of GST returns, TDS filings, Income tax returns and other statutory compliances.
  • Lead audit processes and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Update and maintain financial data in databases to ensure real-time accuracy and availability of critical MIS. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly MIS, ensuring completeness and consistency.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting transactions and bookkeeping and ensure accurate & timely recording of all business transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Maintain accounts receivable by processing incoming payments and issuing invoices in a timely manner.
  • Oversee accounts payable by reviewing and verifying invoices, preparing payments, and conducting regular reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the review of expenses, payroll records, and other financial documents as assigned.
  • Supervise reconciliation of bank statements and vendor/client accounts.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Related work experience of 8 to 10 years.
  • Proficient in accounting software (Tally) and MS Excel).
