Job Description

Direct Taxation:

• Preparing the provisional Computation of Income on a quarterly basis for quarterly reporting.
• Preparing the Computation of Income and filing of Income Tax Returns.
• Preparation / Review of Tax Audit Reports and Transfer Pricing Report.
• Led the team in filing various tax related returns like Form 15G/H, Equalization levy, SFT, FATCA and CRS and Lower withholding applications.
• Interact with various departments, collate required information and preparation of submissions for scrutiny assessments and past litigation.
• Reviewing and preparing responses to various notices and inquiries received from Income Tax Department.
• Filing of application seeking permission u/s 281 of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
• Reviewing the business requirement documents for implementing new systems, processes and software or changes in the existing one.
• Assessing and advising on the TDS applicability on various payments.
• Assisting and advising on particular transactions, products and events from Tax perspective assisting in tax planning measures.
• Ensure passing necessary entries and reconciliation of statutory compliance with financial

Indirect Taxation:

• Responsible for timely GST compliance of monthly payments and return filing.
• Ensuring the reconciliation for GSTR 2A/2B with the books and taking the necessary steps to avoid any penal consequences or financial losses.
• Advising on the applicability of GST on various transactions, of income and expenses, products / services, events and assisting in tax planning measures.
• Continuously making efforts to further streamline and automate the processes and systems to ensure timely, accurately and complete extraction of data for GST compliance, data analysis and litigation management
• Ensuring compliance of state wise GST Audits and Annual Return and to collate related back documentations.
• Compiling the data, managing department officials & preparing responses to various notices inquiries, investigations and Audit received from GST department.
