Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Finished Goods & Packaging Material Inventory Control: Oversee inventory of finished goods, primary packaging, and secondary packaging materials (cartons, sleeves, etc.); ensure accurate tracking of inward, outward, and consumption data.
  • Stock Count Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and participate in periodic physical stock counts for finished goods and packaging materials at SKU and batch level; ensure proper documentation.
  • Quantity Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations between physical stock, warehouse records, and system data for finished goods and packaging material; investigate and resolve discrepancies in coordination with relevant teams.
  • FG & Packaging Valuation & Ageing : Prepare monthly valuation workings in line with accounting and costing requirements; ensure timely and accurate reporting for month-end closure.
  • Process Implementation & Improvement: Assist in implementing and improving inventory control processes, including stock movement recording, damage/rejection handling, and maintaining real-time data accuracy.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Liaise with warehouse, production, quality, dispatch, and finance teams to ensure smooth data flow and timely resolution of issues.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for stock movements, adjustments, and reconciliations to support audits, statutory compliance, and internal controls.
  • Reporting: Prepare and share periodic reports on finished goods and packaging inventories, highlighting key variances, process gaps, and improvement suggestions.
  • 3P Production Control : Ensure GRN entry in the system against PO for third-party production; maintain accurate records of all 3P inwards and related ledgers.
  • Damage & Rejection Material Handling : Track damaged and rejected finished goods/packaging materials; coordinate disposal/write-off with relevant teams, ensuring correct accounting treatment and compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Inter CA / Cost Accountant / MBA (Finance) / Graduate with relevant manufacturing finance experience.
  • 3–4 years of work experience in a manufacturing finance role.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and ERP (preferably SAP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable with factory visits and on-ground operational coordination.
