About the role 
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Chartered Accountant to manage the Company's end-to-end taxation function. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all direct and indirect tax regulations, supporting tax planning initiatives, managing audits and assessments, and partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure robust tax governance. 

What you’ll do:

1. Direct Taxation

• Manage end-to-end direct tax compliances including advance tax, TDS, income tax returns and tax provisions.
• Ensure timely computation, payment and reconciliation of taxes.
• Prepare tax workings and support quarterly and annual tax provisioning.
• Coordinate and manage income tax assessments, notices, appeals and litigation
• Liaise with tax consultants and statutory authorities on direct tax matters

2. Indirect Taxation (GST)

• Manage end-to-end GST compliance including return filing, reconciliations and payment of taxes.
• Review GST applicability on transactions and provide guidance to business teams.
• Ensure accurate input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation and compliance.
• Handle GST audits, departmental notices and assessments
• Monitor changes in GST regulations and implement necessary process changes

3. Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and statutory timelines.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for tax audits and assessments.
• Identify tax risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Drive improvements in tax compliance processes and internal controls

4. Business Partnering

• Provide tax advisory support to various business functions.
• Evaluate tax implications for new business initiatives, contracts and transactions.
• Support finance and business teams on tax-related queries and decision-making.
• Assist in tax planning initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance

5. Audit & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors and tax consultants.
• Manage tax-related schedules and documentation for financial reporting
• Build strong relationships with external advisors and regulatory authorities.

6. Critical Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Direct Tax, GST, TDS and other applicable tax laws.
• Experience in handling tax assessments, audits and statutory notices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail with strong ownership and accountability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP.

What we’re looking for

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with First Attempt having a minimum of 3 years of work experience in End-to-end taxation.
• Exposure to ERP-based taxation processes and tax automation initiatives
