Job Description

1. Regulatory Compliance & Statutory Filings

  • Handle FEMA/IFSCA compliances and ensure timely GST, TDS/TCS, advance tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Manage direct & indirect tax compliance and coordinate with statutory/internal auditors for timely audit completion.

2. Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Handle intercompany reconciliations, elimination entries, AP, AR, escrow accounting, and ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards.

3. Treasury & Fund Management

  • Manage multi-currency bank accounts, monitor foreign currency exposure, and maintain banking relationships.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, cash-burn reports, and monthly escrow reconciliations across products.

4. Process & Internal Controls

  • Maintain SOPs, oversee ERP/accounting systems (Tally, Zoho Books, or equivalent), and ensure appropriate access controls.
  • Support finance process automation to improve reconciliations, reporting efficiency, and internal controls.

Candidate Requirements

Must-Have

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with 3–4 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Hands-on experience in FEMA compliances, statutory audits, GST, TDS, Indian corporate law, and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP, SAP, Zoho Books (or equivalent) with advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Exposure to the fintech industry and GIFT City IFSC regulatory framework (IFSCA, PSLA, FEMA IFSC).
  • Knowledge of SWIFT, NOSTRO/VOSTRO, cross-border settlements, and AI-assisted finance tools.currency bank accounts and monitor foreign currency exposure. • Prepare monthly cash-burn reports and short-term cash-flow forecasts. • Prepare monthly escrow reconciliations across all products • Support banking relationships and liaise with banks for operations 4. Process & Internal Controls • Maintain and update SOPs for all process including escrow accounting & reporting in additional to the usual processes (accounts payable, account receivable, period end, etc) • Operate and maintain ERP / accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or equivalent) with appropriate access controls. • Support implementation of automation tools to reduce manual effort in reconciliations and reporting. Must-Have ✓ Chartered Accountant (ICAI) — mandatory. No exceptions. ✓ 3–4 years of post-qualification experience. ✓ Hands-on experience with FEMA guidelines ✓ Proficiency in Tally ERP, SAP, Zoho Books, or equivalent accounting software. ✓ Strong working knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and Indian corporate law. ✓ Experience managing statutory audits and liaising with auditors independently. ✓ Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills for reconciliation and reporting. Nice-to-Have • Understanding of fintech industry • Familiarity with GIFT City IFSC regulatory framework (IFSCA, PSLA, FEMA IFSC notifications). • Understanding of SWIFT, NOSTRO / VOSTRO, and cross-border settlement mechanics. • Comfort with AI-assisted tools for finance workflows.
