Job Description

This is a contractual role for 3 months.

We are looking for a hands-on and execution-focused Accounts Payable Executive on a short-term contract basis to support the finance team in clearing operational backlogs and strengthening AP processes. The primary focus of this role will be to support the finance team in clearing pending Accounts Payable backlogs, vendor reconciliations, invoice processing, and ensuring timely closure of outstanding operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clear pending Accounts Payable backlogs within defined timelines
  • Process high volumes of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Perform vendor ledger reconciliations and resolve outstanding discrepancies
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for invoice approvals and supporting documents
  • Ensure timely accounting of invoices and vendor payments
  • Review ageing reports and assist in closure of long-pending items
  • Support cleanup and streamlining of AP records and documentation
  • Assist in month-end closure activities related to payables
  • Maintain proper tracking of pending invoices, debit notes, and vendor communications
  • Ensure compliance with GST and TDS requirements while processing vendor transactions
  • Work closely with the finance team to improve turnaround time and operational efficiency

Required Skills

  • Prior experience to work on ZOHO.
  • Strong practical understanding of Accounts Payable processes
  • Experience in handling backlog clearance and reconciliation activities
  • Good knowledge of vendor accounting, GST, and TDS
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working on ERP/accounting systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines
  • Strong attention to detail and execution capability

Preferred Background

  • Prior experience in startup, logistics, mobility, e-commerce, or high transaction volume environments
  • Immediate joiners or candidates available at short notice preferred
  • Candidates comfortable working in operational and execution-heavy roles
