Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the general accounting function of an Alternative Investment Fund.
  • Oversee the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements.
  • Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that the practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Preparation of daily NAV calculation, quarterly financials, and investor reporting.
  • Manage trades with brokers, reconciliation of trade etc.
  • Ensure compliance/documentation requirement for Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, labour law, SEBI etc..
  • Maintain sufficient funds by forecasting cash requirements and obligations.
  • Provide financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation; collection, analyses, and consolidation of financial information; advise departments on the collection and analysis of data.
  • Prepare monthly management report (MIS) including cash flow, annual budget process and periodic analysis of financial performance.
  • Collaborate with bankers and external consultants to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
  • Be an expert in your areas of responsibility and take end-to-end ownership of all aspects of your projects.

Ideal candidate:

  • CA with 3 to 4 years of experience preferably in finance function of a Fund investing in public market.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office accounting software and systems such as Tally.
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills, including PowerPoint.
  • Is comfortable with handling large sets of data.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Has keen attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to keep track of large sets of information.
  • Displays a high level of genuine curiosity about our business and exhibits an eagerness to learn. 
  • Has a high aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem-solving in revenue-accounting topics as well as strong skills with spreadsheets.
