Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Finance Executive with 3-6 years of experience to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring timely statutory filings such as GST and TDS. Proficiency in ERP systems like Tally is essential. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to support the finance team in achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Accounting & Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and general accounting functions.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping and handling the accounts payable process.
- Handle daily book entries, ledger maintenance, journal vouchers, and opening balance confirmations.
2. Reconciliations & Revenue Accounting:
- Perform reconciliations such as bank reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and manage revenue accounting.
- Track receivables, including loan accounts and EMI payments, and process debit/credit notes as required.
3. Cash & Bank Management:
- Maintain bank and cash books, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Handle petty cash, verify monthly credit card expenses, update in Tally, and cross-check credit card statements.
- Process journal, contra, bank, and cash entries as part of regular financial operations.
4. Provision Entries & Reporting:
- Prepare and post all monthly provision entries.
- Ensure timely reconciliation and submission of statutory dues including Provident Fund (P.F.), ESI, and Professional Tax.
5. Expense Management:
- Verify and process employee expenses, including monthly expense reports and payment processing.
- Handle verification of travel bills, mobile and telephone bills, and ensure compliance with company policies.
6. Tax Compliance & Statutory Reporting:
- Ensure timely issuance of TDS certificates and filing of all related statutory returns.
- Maintain compliance with GST regulations and file accurate returns as per company requirements.
- Handle local and state statutory compliances applicable to the organization.
7. Audit & Internal Controls:
- Assist in internal and statutory audit processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Draft formal correspondence for office communication and maintain audit related documentation.
- Contribute to strengthening internal financial controls and procedures.
8. ERP Systems & Software Proficiency:
- Work efficiently with ERP systems such as Tally financial record-keeping and data management.
- Ensure all transactions and entries are correctly recorded and maintained within the ERP system.
9. Regulatory & Compliance:
- Stay updated with current tax and financial regulations to ensure compliance.
- Ensure timely submission of all statutory returns required by law to the concerned authorities.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems for compliance audits and statutory inspections.
10. Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data and insights.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with ERP systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance (GST, TDS, P.F., ESI, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality. •
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet strict deadlines.
- Experience in financial data analysis and report generation.
