Job Description

Technical Experience –

  • Knowledge and exposure to various country specific privacy laws/ regulations and privacy standards/frameworks
  • Knowledge of basic data protection/ information security standards, practices, and principles.
  • Adept in performing privacy impact assessments basis the agreed contractual requirements and applicable privacy laws.
  • Performing risk assessments based on widely accepted industry standards.
  • Exposure to working on proactive pitches and data privacy and security related RFPs and developing collaterals to showcase capabilities via creation of compelling business cases.

Key responsibilities -

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand data privacy requirements on the processing activities carried in any function and document data protection SOPs to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Assist functions in privacy related activities – DPIA including notice & consent requirements for different jurisdictions.
  • Be the functional point of contact for client business teams to support & advise them on various privacy requirements in various RFPs and deals.
  • Performing risk assessments based on widely accepted industry standards and provide recommendations/solutions to resolve data protection gaps.
  • Create dashboards, reporting collaterals and various training material for the organization.
  • Review the data protection provisions in client and vendor contracts and support to respond to RFI/RFQ/MSA from clients in a precontract sign-off stage.
  • Conduct employee awareness and trainings across organization on lawful handling of personal data.
  • Ensure compliance of data privacy standards and support in implementation of Group Privacy Program.
  • Provide support to legal team members from other jurisdictions, where required for data protection matters.
  • Support data protection audits for clients and internal teams.
  • Stay current on security and privacy trends, standards, and best practices.

Skills

  • Fluent English (written & verbal) with good drafting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to apply and learn concepts quickly.
  • Attention to details.
  • The ability to assess risk and translate it to business relevant considerations.
  • Comfortable with handling contracts, M&A, legal research, and related work.
  • Continually update security skills
