Job Description

Position Purpose:

To manage the general legal requirements of documentation, advisory and handle legal queries.

To work closely with the Vice President, Legal, APAC & India. To also liaise with other functional heads within India to help meet their business objectives

Principal Accountabilities:

All legal matters primarily including: vendor and contract management, internal audit, marketing, sales and distribution, operations, finance, employment related queries and other ancillary legal advice arising out of a Direct selling business.

Drafting and vetting of legal documentation.

Legal Research, analysis, interpreting and advising new laws and regulations to various teams such as Sales & Marketing, operations, finance, HR, etc.

Advise and assist  the Company on compliance with the relevant laws.

Dispute resolution, handling legal notices, criminal law matters.

Represent the company to regulators as and when required.

Litigation support and management including working with External Counsel and coordinating with internal stake holders as necessary.

Work on training content and delivery of trainings to employees of cross functional teams on Company’s policies.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies Knowledge

Bachelor of Laws from a reputed college in India.

Company secretarial experience would be an advantage

Experience in corporate laws, like Companies Act, FEMA, Consumer Protection Act.

Indian law firm or international law firm in India experience

Corporate and commercial legal experience.

Knowledge of Food Safety Laws will be an added advantage.
