Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and timely, including income tax, GST, excise duty, and other applicable taxes.
  • Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize our tax position. Identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies. Provide strategic tax advice to support business decisions.
  • Transfer Pricing: Manage transfer pricing policies and ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations. Coordinate with international entities to establish arm's length pricing for intercompany transactions.
  • Tax Audits and Disputes: Handle tax audits and disputes with tax authorities. Respond to tax notices, inquiries, and assessments. Represent the company in tax hearings and negotiations.
  • Tax Risk Management: Assess and mitigate tax risks associated with business operations and transactions. Implement controls and procedures to manage tax risks effectively.
  •  Tax Research and Analysis: Stay updated with changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings. Conduct tax research and analysis to interpret tax laws and assess their impact on the company.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals. Provide guidance, training, and support to develop their skills and knowledge in taxation.

Ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in taxation, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and principles. Experience with international taxation and transfer pricing is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successful tax planning, compliance, and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret complex tax issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external advisors, and tax authorities.
  • Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing tax team.
