Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

Compliance & Regulatory Areas:

Applicable Regulations to the Funds (indicative list) – Companies Act, 2013, LLP Act, 2008, FEMA, SEBI Regulations (including Angel Fund, AIF, and PMS Regulations), Labour laws, Income Tax, GST etc.

● Define and uphold understanding of regulatory requirements.

● Develop and implement annual compliance work plans.

● Present concise compliance reports to the Board.

● Interact with regulators on compliance matters.

Accounting & Finance Areas:

● Maintain finance records for the Fund.

● Coordinate audits, reviews, and examinations.

● Present periodic financial budgeting reports with analysis.

● Ensure internal controls, compliances, and financial procedures.

● Manage Unit Allocations, NAV Audits, Exit analysis, and distribution.

Strategic and Operational Responsibilities:

● Structure new funds, conduct M&A-related business modeling, analysis, and valuation.

● Maintain banking relationships, strategic alliances with vendors.

● Coordinate with auditors, consultants, advisors.

● Enhance financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.

● Provide inputs and lead business process automation initiatives.

Ideal candidate:

● CA or CS (Mandatory); preference will be given to those with additional qualification – LLB/MBA Finance.

● 2-4 years of experience in compliance with exposure to finance, accounts, taxation and related matters. We are looking for candidates who have broad based experience and are open to take up broader responsibilities.

● Demonstrated confidence and execution capabilities – ability to manage and effectively complete tasks.

● Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills

● Ability to work and effectively communicate with auditors, lawyers and consultants, compliance-related operations.

● Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

● Open to travel on a needed basis.
