Job Description

Role Overview

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing the commercial and transactional finance functions of the manufacturing plant, including invoicing, GST compliance, vendor coordination, and monitoring of commercial processes. The role will involve close coordination with the accounts, purchase, stores, and dispatch teams to ensure smooth commercial operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Operations

• Monitor sales invoicing, dispatch documentation, and E-way bill compliance.
• Ensure accuracy in commercial documentation related to dispatch and customer billing.
• Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth order execution.

GST Compliance

• Ensure compliance with GST laws related to invoicing, documentation, and input tax credit.
• Monitor GST aspects of sales and purchases to ensure proper tax treatment.

Vendor & Procurement Coordination

• Resolve supplier payment issues and reconciliation matters.
• Coordinate with purchase and accounts teams regarding GRN (Goods Receipt Note) discrepancies and documentation issues.
• Monitor vendor documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.

SAP & Process Monitoring

• Ensure proper SAP usage for commercial transactions including invoicing, GRNs, and purchase documentation.
• Review system transactions for accuracy and completeness.

Internal Coordination

• Work closely with accounts, stores, purchase, and dispatch teams to ensure adherence to established procedures.
• Escalate operational and commercial issues to the CFO when required.

Controls & Process Discipline

• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal controls.
• Help streamline processes and reduce operational bottlenecks in commercial activities.

Qualification

• Qualified CMA / Inter CA / Experienced B.Com
• Around 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Key Skills

• Strong working knowledge of GST laws and commercial documentation.
• Experience in manufacturing / plant commercial operations.
• Hands-on experience with SAP.
• Ability to coordinate across departments and resolve operational issues effectively.
